Something foul is afoot in the Tanglewoods. It's been weeks since you've heard from your grandmother, so you're cinching up your belt, tossing on your cloak and throwing your trusty axe across your shoulder to venture into the heart of the woods where here cottage is tucked away. 

In Tanglewood: Red you are journeying through a varied and branching path of forest cards towards the cottage and your inevitable showdown with the Big Bad Wolf. 

You will roll dice to explore the upcoming paths, with your results determining whether the paths laid out ahead of you are daytime (easier) or night-time (harder). The farther ahead you explore, the more agency you will have over choosing from the branching, twisting- one might even say "tangled"- paths.
