You take on the role of one of 14 factions and settle the planets of a galaxy by building structures on them. As the game progresses, you can upgrade these structures in different ways, giving you access to more resources and actions.
Six research areas are available to help you expand across the galaxy faster and more efficiently than your fellow players.

Different factions with different abilities each play differently and present new strategic challenges. Changing game and scoring conditions repeatedly call for different tactical decisions, and the variable game board means you must plan your expansion anew each time.
