In Anno Domini, it’s not about exact knowledge. Because who really knows whether “Josef Friedrich Schmidt donated the first, not-for-sale edition of Mensch ärgere Dich nicht to military hospitals” before or after “a 'dice swallower' was on duty in English gambling halls, ready to swallow all the dice during a raid.” Players take turns adding a new event to the chain of mostly curious incidents, trying to be the first to get rid of all their cards. If a player doubts that the event cards are in the correct order, the moment of truth arrives: The cards are turned over, and the chronological order is verified using the dates provided. If something is in the wrong place, the player who went just before receives penalty cards. However, if everything is correct, the doubter must draw penalty cards.
