In the west of Eriador, between the Misty Mountains and the Mountains of Lhûn, the Hobbits encountered both Men and Elves. Indeed, a remnant of the Dúnedain still dwelt there, the Kings of Men who had come over the Sea from Westernesse; but they were dwindling fast, and the lands of their Northern Kingdom were falling far into ruin.
Eriador, the Lone-lands as described in The Lord of the Rings™, is brought to life as never before in this supplement for The One Ring™, the official tabletop roleplaying game based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. A region often described as deserted becomes a crucible for adventure, offering many hours of gameplay.
Chapter 1: Fog over Eriador provides a description of the regions that once formed the Kingdom of Arnor, with a focus on the city of Tharbad.
Chapter 2: A Gathering Storm provides the Loremaster with a set of narrative elements that aim to create a possible future for the land of Eriador as a whole. This includes a description of many looming threats, non-player characters, and their agendas.
Chapter 3: Landmarks describes twelve sites of interest in the same format as the core rules. These locations are either ‘historical’ sites mentioned in The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, or others created specifically for the game.
A large format full-colour map is included.
