Welcome to the wilderness of North America! Here you’ll find breathtaking mountain landscapes and spectacular geysers. Expansive forests and the vast prairies provide habitats and refuges for many animal species. Each player manages a national park, where the aim is for each animal species to form as large a family as possible and gain access to water sources. It’s even better when the animals also populate the different types of terrain completely.
But beware: Unpredictable weather phenomena can drive the animals away. What’s more, the other players also have a say in which animal species are settled where, as they run parks of their own. Only those who cleverly place their animals and keep an eye on the terrain types and the weather will succeed with their national park.
Caldera Park offers new challenges and plenty of variety with simple rules. Fans of Savannah Park will rediscover some familiar elements in this sequel, reinterpreted, varied, and expanded with new ones. Caldera Park is part of Deep Print Games’ “In Nature” series and, like Renature and Savannah Park, completely avoids plastic components.
