In Dune: Imperium Uprising, you want to continue to balance military might with political intrigue, wielding new tools in pursuit of victory. Spies will shore up your plans, vital contracts will expand your resources, or you can learn the ways of the Fremen and ride mighty sandworms into battle!

Dune: Imperium Uprising is a standalone spinoff to Dune: Imperium that expands on that game's blend of deck-building and worker placement, while introducing a new six-player mode that pits two teams against one other in the biggest struggle yet.

The Dune: Imperium expansions Rise of Ix and Immortality work with with Uprising, as do almost all of the cards from the base game, and elements of Uprising can be used with Dune: Imperium.

The choices are yours. The Imperium awaits!

      Excellent thematic game

My first game ended like it was out of the book. The game ends at the end of a round when someone reaches 10 points. Feyd-Rautha had alliances with almost everyone in the galaxy, vast resources, a lean powerful deck, and reached 10 points by the last turn while Lady Margot Fenrig and Maud’dib were both at 6 points.

Each round ends with a battle (in this case, the battle for the Imperial Basin), so knowing this was the last battle, everyone went all out. Feyd-Rautha and Maud’dib both summoned Sandworms and large armies. Chani helped Maud’dib pull ahead though to win the climactic battle. Because Maud’dib had stockpiled spice and had some earlier victories, he was able to exchange it for an insane six victory points from the battle, and jumped to 12 points for the victory.

Insanely good game, would recommend, will absolutely choose Feyd-Rautha’s efficient play style in the future and get my daggers handed to me by some desert vermin again.

More complex, sure, but way more balanced than the original edition. The possibility to combine the two editions give the players the opportunity to explore many different scenarios

      Uprising is an excellent game!

Dune Imperium with the expansions was one of my favorite titles in the past. It was to be seen if this new version, Uprising, could make things even better. It does! The game goes back to a less cluttered simplicity, without giving up on intense tactics and awesome pace. This game is excellent, once again.

      Improved in every way

Feels like a crunchier DUNE Imperium with more balanced boardspaces. Only potental negative I have is that the combats can be way swingier and lose/win you the game with up to 4 points if you have worms. Ultimately, this is just another thing you have to plan for though.
